Abstract

What follows is part of the history of a subproject of Coletivo (RE)Ação. The Coletivo which we refer to is a group that aims to contribute to the process of formation of young residents in the south zone of the city of Uberlândia – MG, Brazil. This group consists of undergraduate and graduate students as well as teachers of the Federal University of that city. The (RE)Ação also has a partnership with the NGO Ação Moradia, which gives the space to hold meetings, as well as the Research Group on Education and Popular Culture (GPECPOP), and the Center for Research on Education and Media (NUPEME). Realizing the possibility of developing something beyond the traditional meetings, educators with formation in mathematics put into practice the idea of recording and disseminating videos in which boys and girls narrated some exercises solving discussed in the group. The objective is provide means for students to improve their knowledge in this discipline, and to link the videos to Coletivo’s blog with the aim of helping whoever have not had the opportunity to participate, in addition to working with some technologies as video camera and computer. We report and reflect here on what we understand as an experience that is becoming history for our lives.
