The purpose of this article is to disseminate an online course extension project for training literacy teachers for the use of digital technologies in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic that we developed through the research group Reading, Writing and Technology, belonging to CNPQ. With this, we envisage expanding reflection on the proposal for a model of teacher training in our country in the midst of a pandemic, as well as highlighting the importance of literacy teachers to include digital media and texts in their educational practice in order to promote more reading and writing processes. The broader theoretical contributions for analyzing the data presented here are the studies by Anne-Marie Chartier (2007) regarding teacher knowledge and the studies by both Soares (2002) and Ferreiro (2013) on literacy practices through digital resources, as well as Pedro Demo's (2009) reflections on the use of digital technologies in the literacy process. And how he concludes it in the midst of a pandemic, with a different perspective on digital culture in education, the construction of new knowledge the and new format of the literacy classroom.
