This paper discusses the inclusion of stochastic in childhood education, considering the stochastic as a part of the curriculum of mathematics that studies the combinatorics, probability and statistics in an interactive way. For this discussion we started from the understanding of thinking and reasoning. The concept of education that guides reflection on stochastic integration of basic education and also a mathematics education linked to children's culture that allows the defense of this theme in childhood are presented. We highlight the interrelationships of mathematics with statistics leading to stochastic and expose evidence of the Brazilian and international scientific production underlying the considerations. We present some works that have shown stochastic childhood education as a reality, focusing on exploratory data analysis, from environments in which it is possible to explore data from the infant universe. In conclusion it is emphasized that working with students throughout the elementary school must provide them the perception and modeling, regularities, patterns and variations within the data. We point to the need for investment in initial and continuing training of teachers who teach mathematics and the urgency in the production of materials that can support teaching.
