Assistive technology (AT) aims functionality, independence, autonomy and quality of life for people with disabilities, through resources, strategies, services and equipments. Its possible uses in Physical Education are the adaptations in the rules, activities, environment or materials, being unknown the effective contact with this content in professional formation. This research aimed to investigate the forms of procedure of the physical education teachers involving students with disabilities and the means to adapt their lessons, probing about the use of AT. This is a qualitative research, involving procedures of semi-structured interviews analysis with six teachers of the discipline. About the narratives, we identified adjustments and improvisations in activities involving students with disabilities, and the AT is not known by most of interviewed. Given the incipiency of using AT, a solution targeted to Physical Education courses would bring in its disciplines a more possibilities of approaches with the school reality and people with disabilities, as well as curricular approach to Assistive Technology, as a tool in teaching practice.
