A game (original) was elaborated and some problems involving game situations were created to support the students on improvement of learning from these concepts. The purpose of learning was applied on a public high school classroom (seniors), in a countryside city of São Paulo State, Brazil. The results of this investigation point out that the use of games associated to problem solving can contribute to the students’ learning process and also on their own knowledge development. Keywords: Teaching descriptive statistics; games; problem solving.
