This article intends to reflect on the promoter elements of creative living at school. To do so, we used the concept of Winnicott about creativity as a factor that permeates all human actions, in addition to the artistic. Creating involves what he calls the creative living as a healthy way of life in the broad sense of the term. School, as one of the central places of interactions and human constitution, is related to creativity as far as it fosters, or not, aspects of creative living. The ideas presented here are the result of a longitudinal research conducted with students from a public school in the state of Ceará, Brazil, accompanied from the first to the third year of high school. Outlining as action research, various instruments were used in the search for information such as survey type, workshops of narratives and interviews. Results showed negative elements in the school such as the conflicts in the relationship between students and their peers, teachers and school management and the stress experienced in the difficulties of learning in the classroom. The subjects valued the friendships and good links, pointing out the need to create spaces for dialogue in schools as an alternative to establish them as a locus promoter of creative living.
