The constitution of the psychic individual suffers with the uprooting and loss of ancestors’ history that characterizes black people in Brazil. The shattering of black identify leads black people to internalize the Ideal of the White Self. It is necessary to create narratives that allow for a symbolic presence of similar and different features. It is up to us to create a place for the downtrodden from exile, thus opening space for rescuing a native language.
