Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses 12-point Arial font; uses italics instead of underlining (except for URL addresses); the figures and tables are inserted in the text, not at the end of the document in the form of attachments and strictly follow the Template in the link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/16hjf2cBX4QqsKQWZU-gqIVdYrIJ-WK_5/edit
  • The text follows ABNT's style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Guidelines for Authors, which can be found just below this table.
  • Complete registration of the author(s), on the REVEDUC homepage, with personal data, institutional affiliation, ORCID number and mini-curriculum, accompanied by an indication of areas of interest. Remember to check the Reader and Author options. If the author has already registered, just access the system and start the five-step submission process.
  • Attachment of the article in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF: not identified according to the guidelines of the template available in the journal, following the guidelines for authors.
  • Copyspider report copy attachment. Only articles with an index not exceeding 3% of coincidence will be accepted, except in the case of master's dissertations and doctoral thesis.

  • Copy of the Opinion that the research that provided the basis for the article was submitted and approved by the Ethics Committee and that the participants signed a Free and Informed Consent Term indicating the process (in the case of data collection involving human beings).
  • Declaration of Consent and Originality for Submission, indicating that the article is original and has not been submitted for evaluation in another journal, and agreeing with the rules of submission, format, evaluation, approval and publication adopted by the journal, as well.

  • Declaration of the contribution of the author(s) in the research and in the manuscript when there is more than one author.

  • Note: Submission is performed in five steps. Follow the instructions for each step and, in the fourth step, confirm the submission. Supplementary documents are inserted in the last step, for this, click on Review this submission and enter the requested documents.

The Electronic Journal of Education publishes quarterly articles in any language, essays, debates, interviews reviews, unpublished on topics that contribute to the intensification of the educational debate, as well as to the dissemination of the knowledge produced in the area. The texts in languages other than Portuguese or Spanish can be translated and presented in the same edition.

The texts sent to be published must be submitted to the approval of members of the Journal's Internal and External Editorial Board. The opinions will be sent to the author (s) for science on their content and rewording, if applicable.

Only texts derived from empirical or theoretical research by researchers with a minimum Master degree will be accepted for analysis. Author's works Master's degree only in co-authoring with at least one Doctor.

The submission must be original and unpublished, and the author must declare that it is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; otherwise, it should be justified in "Comments to the editor".

Submission and publication of articles are free.

The following sections compose this periodical:

Articles – concluded research reports, original research synthesis;
Essays – Theoretical review, critical review on thematic bibliography or specific work.
Interviews – with researchers, theory authors and personalities that could contribute in discussions about relevant educational topics.
Images Analysis – critical examination of images presented in several ways – photos, films, DVD, pictures, etc.

Other sections might be created by the Online Magazine Editors.

Guidelines to collaborations:

The material must be submitted online as the shipping instructions, following the seven steps to Submission. The lenght of the text, except interviews and reviews, should be 10-20 pages or 48,000 characters with spaces, Arial, size 12, single space. The retreat to the beginning of each paragraph should be 2.5 cm from the edge.

The cover sheet (which will not be handed to the evaluators to ensure the anonymity during the evaluation process) must present:

a) article title (up to 15 words), authors’ names (in the order they should be published), author(s) institution, address, phone number and e-mail; brief professional information (up to 50 words).

b) summary (from 200 to 250 words or 1200-1600 characters) emphasizing the objective, methodology and conclusion of the work;

c) key words (up to four words).

The article title must be repeated on its first page.

Theoretical review, critical review on thematic bibliography or specific work.

Interviews

With researchers, theory authors and personalities that could contribute in discussions about relevant educational topics.

Images Analysis

Critical examination of images presented in several ways – photos, films, DVD, pictures, etc.

Analysis of Didactic Material

Critical examination of intellectual production addressed to the teaching of specific content considering different areas and levels of studies.

Articles

Concluded research reports, original research synthesis.

Articles translation

Tradução de artigos publicados em idiomas estrangeiros por esta Revista ou por outras revistas, mediante autorização dos autores.

Debates

A text expressing opinion about polemic subjects.
